ABOUT ME

I'm a Louisiana native; however, I spent most of my childhood growing up along the ancient Appalachian Mountains in Maryland. I studied English at Louisiana State University - Shreveport. I raised two exceptional boys into two exceptional young men. I've taught kindergarten, middle school and high school English, as well as public speaking. I love being out in nature, and I'm crazy about European dark chocolate.

My life's ambition has been to write. Growing up and throughout college, my teachers encouraged me, calling me a gifted writer with a vivid imagination. I have always been fascinated by the contrast of light versus dark, in the physical realm, the spiritual realm, and certainly within literature, in the metaphorical realm. The Knights of Nevertheless began as a recurring set of dreams at a time when the world around me seemed to be crumbling under my feet. My mother had been battling Alzheimer's for years and was in her final days, and my marriage was also failing. I felt alone and afraid.

Nevertheless, through this dark period I found the strength to persevere through faith. I discovered that there is hope... even in the darkness...

I currently live in the beautiful state of North Carolina immersed in Southern Charm where I enjoy my beloved Appalachians and the Atlantic coast.
